Bodywork

Here at Aon we offer many types of massage and bodywork to help your body handle the stress and strain of daily life. Regular bodywork can have a profound cumulative positive effect on many levels. Bodywork has been shown to benefit flexibility, circulation, skin and muscle tone, promote healing, relieve pain, improve sleep, reduce disability, diminish stress, and improve overall well being.
All sessions at Aon are tailored for the individual, based on a thorough evaluation of personal preferences and needs. Treatments may be soft or deep, focusing on relaxation, flexibility, recovery from injury, management of musculoskeletal problems, reducing stress, promoting health or just a little self indulgence. For all Aon bodywork sessions, we use paraben-free, organic, Safar creme.

Swedish Massage

refers to a technique of light, flowing strokes used to reduce stress and increase relaxation.

Deep Tissue Massage

is a combination of techniques generally including specific deep pressure and stretching for chronic pain and/ or overuse symptoms.

Myofascial Release

works with the body's connective tissue and has been shown to relieve soft tissue pain and stiffness, improve comfort at rest and in motion.

Core Structural Integration

is a series of 10 sessions using focused myofascial techniques and movement to unwind postural and movement patterns from the “outside in” to improve structural balance and body awareness.

Ashiatsu Oriental Bar Therapy

is an adaptation of an ancient form of barefoot massage using deep compression effleurage gliding over the body; excellent for relieving chronic back pain and for stimulating the lymphatic system.

is a form of bodywork that assists in clearing, aligning, and balancing the energetic systems that results in more vitality, clarity, and personal strength.

thai yoga bodywork

practiced on a mat, fully clothed, while the practitioner moves the passive receiver into gentle yoga-like stretches, while applying Acupressure and Massage techniques.

Sports Injury Massage

Active-Isolated Stretching

is focused, client assisted, flexibility work to achieve maximal range of motion.

Reiki Energy Work

Pre & Postnatal [pregnancy] Massage

helps to decrease stress and improve sense of well being thru the use of specific techniques for each stage of pregnancy and after delivery.
